We strive to provide honest, affordable, proactive services that improve the health and vitality of our patients and our community. Our goal is to thrive in a community where there are no barriers to wholesome food, physical fitness, sound rest, peace, and love.

Our Story

From concept to reality. Our goal is to provide direct primary care for all.

Identified Problem

After working 17 years in the healthcare field, Dr. Carnsew realized that Red tape, insurance requirements and bureaucracy were preventing her from doing what she truly loved — helping people.

Vision Established

Frustrated with limited one–on–one patient time and a desire to connect with patients, Dr. Carnsew found the direct primary care model. This allowed her to offer lower prices to her patients while providing more care.

Practice Opened

A beautiful location was found in Easley, S.C. and Verity Primary Medicine & Lifestyle became a reality. Opening on Jan. 31, 2017 with nearly 40 new patients.

Team Grows

By implementing Lifestyle Medicine classes and coaching, we are continuing our path towards happiness and health for our patients and our impact continues to grow. Our hope is that together, we can help you achieve wellness.

Lori Carnsew MD
Lori Carnsew MDOwner/Medical Director
Dr. Lori Carnsew has been a family physician for over 20 years and is the founder of Verity Primary Medicine & Lifestyle. She studied medicine at Wayne State University and completed her Family Medicine training at Greenville Hospital. Dr. Carnsew obtained an additional Lifestyle Medicine Certification in 2016 and resides in Easley, with her husband and 3 children.
Kaitlyn Newman DO
Kaitlyn Newman DOPhysician
Dr. Newman grew up in North Carolina and earned her Bachelor of Science in biochemistry, with a minor in mathematics, from High Point University. She attended VCOM–Carolinas for medical school and completed her Family Medicine residency at Prisma Health/USC School of Medicine in Greenville. She joined Verity Primary Medicine & Lifestyle in 2024. She is passionate about using up-to-date, evidence-based medicine to partner with patients in building healthier lives—focusing not only on longevity, but on maintaining the highest possible quality of life over time. Her clinical interests include lifestyle/preventative medicine, women’s health such as menopause care, and acne management. Outside of medicine, Dr. Newman enjoys reading (mostly non-fiction), learning Spanish, and traveling.

Tina is our health coach at Verity Medicine & Lifestyle. She is a certified medical assistant and a certified nutrition and wellness coach. She enjoys watching as people learn how to improve their lives through better lifestyle choices. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and loves taking long walks.

Victoria is our Medical Assistant here at Verity. She loves caring for her patients and making sure they have a wonderful experience while in her care. Recently relocated to South Carolina from North Alabama she has several years’ experience working in the medical field. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her children, hanging out with her fur babies and picking up a good book.

Tobias Vogel
Tobias VogelDirector
Tobias brings over 25 years of experience in medical practice management, having led private, hospital-owned, for-profit, and nonprofit practices. Before transitioning into healthcare leadership, he worked in engineering and marketing roles with General Motors and Rockwell Automation, where he developed a strong foundation in operations, strategy, and growth. Outside of the office, Tobias manages his commercial real estate companies and values time spent helping his mom, working in his yard, running with friends, and being with his family.

Dr. Lori is the most compassionate Physician. Very thorough and listens to all my concerns. I have never had a Physician spend so much time with me. That means so much! Always a smile when I walk in and she is available anytime I need her.
